Picture for 030211

Picture for today:

This picture was taken during my polytechnic days. I used to have this three little pushies hanging on my bag, now they are just sitting on a shelf in my room. That's the fate of pushies/toys etc.. You used to like them so much when you were young, and that you will always be seen with it. As time passes, you will gradually outgrow them and eventually chuck them to one side.

I'm glad I still kept them around =) That's all for today..

Cheers~

Oh shit, I can't believe I broke the chain again. Therefore, again, there will be 2 pictures in this post.

Here's picture 1:

I was at the carpark getting my car when I saw this interesting sight. I immediately whipped out my camera to try to get a shot of it. Although its quite difficult to get a very clear shot, I think this picture has captured the essence of it all. Look carefully and you will see what I mean =)

Ok, here's picture 2:

I was at Qian Hu Fish Farm when I took this shot. They have this type of small fish that eats the fungus off your body. They vary in sizes, I guess, depending on the amount of 'food' they had. It feels tickerish at first, but after awhile, you feel good because you know your feet is much cleaner. There are alot afew massage centres out there that have this type of fish, but they cost a bomb. Qian Hu is so much cheaper.

Ok, this is the 2nd time I didn't keep to my posting. At this rate, I'm going to run out of pictures pretty soon..Haha..

Happy Lunar New Year!! Gong Xi Fa Cai!! Hong Bao Many Many!! Huat Ar!!!!!!!!

Cheers~

Picture for 010211

Damn..didn't know I would break my chain so fast..I must apologise for not being able to make the post on the 010211. Therefore, the punishment will be posting of 2 pictures..

Maybe you will be thinking, "Aiyah, like that also call punishment?" Indeed, to some people, this may not be a punishment, but for me, it sure is. Why? The reason is because I'm not a "photo" person. The amount of photos that I have, I think a 512mb flash card will be able to contain all, seriously..

Ok, to cut the chase, here is picture 1:

This is a part of the figurine set that I bought a few years ago. It is supposed to be pinned on a shirt as an accessory, but I found it to be nicer pinned to my car. It have been sitting there for the past few years, as if its watching after me and the car. Hope its really the case..

Here's picture 2:

This happened during the SYOG Appreciation dinner that was held in my camp. While we were waiting for the dinner to commence, one of my guys decided to do an illegal parking and go for a quick shower before the dinner. As soon as he left his car to go up, the remaining of us quietly shifted our cars to the respectively positions as shown in the picture. To make things worse, we even shifted 2 benches and placed it beside the driver's enterance. Once that's done, all of us left for the dinner, leaving the situation as such. Needless to say,he never did an illegal parking again.

Okay, so these are the 2 pictures for 010211. I'll try to keep to my promise again.

Cheers ~

Picture of 310111

I almost didn't keep my promise.. Luckily, I managed to chose a picture before the clock strikes 12. And here it is:

This picture was taken when I was in the control room during SYOG 2010. This is the first time I tried taking fireworks from my DSLR camera. Although the quality wasn't of professional, I still feel that my shot has its own uniqueness. The time you see on the picture is the synchronised time system used when running an event.

Looking at this picture somehow reminds me of the days when I was slogging my guts out for SYOG 2010. There have been many wonderful memories back then, like getting to know people outside my normal working circle, artise management, learning how to use complex audio and video equipment, etc etc etc..

Of course, there were 'not so good' memories as well. During that period, I lost a good buddy, a 'partner in crime' at work, and a good mentor. He passed away shortly just after we completed the Opening Ceremony. Perhaps I will blog more about him the next time.

Ok, that's all for now, before I exceed the day ~ =) Stay tuned ~

Cheers ~

Revival

As titled. I've realised that I've been neglecting this blog of mine for too long. A good evidence was that I almost forgot my login password, and I have to try like, 8 times, before I got it correct. Sigh..Much have past, 14 months since my last post, looks like I have alot of catching up to do so as to not disappoint my fans (are there any left in the first place??)

Ok, a quick run through of the key events that happened for the past 14 months.

1. Completed a full marathon, and an Urbanathlon,

2. Visited Desaru with my loved one,

3. Posted to a new unit,

4. Participated in the Singapore Youth Olympics Games 2010 as part of the organising party for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies,

5. Visited Perth again, this time with my loved one,

6. Lost a good friend,

7. 'Air dropped' into a military exercise straight after SYOG 2010 ,

8. Had a great christmas and new year with my loved one,

9. Completed another long and tired military exercise,

which then brings me to end Jan 2011.

Lastly, today, just as I was blogging, the worst hit me. I had a big misunderstanding with my loved one. I guess I only have myself to blame. I cannot articulate properly, and I'm not able to make her understand my intentions, thus causing alot of miscommunications between us. I really didn't mean the way she took the message, but I guess she will not accept that as an answer. Let's just hope she will be able to forgive me..

Anyway, I've decided to come up with something new for my blog so as to ensure that I blog on a regular basis. I've decided to add this segment titled "Picture for the day", where I will post a picture and do a short write up on it. Hopefully, this will work? (Anyone wants to bet how long I'll last? Haha)

Ok, heres todays photo:

For those who have read my blog before, I've mentioned this sign before. True to what it states, most people fail to appreciate what others have done for them or the system so that things can carry on the way it is supposed to be. Therefore causing unnecessary hurt and 'casualties' time and again.

I hope that my post will enlighten those who are reading it. Stay tuned for the next 'Picture of the day' =)

Cheers ~
