The Lost Months

First of all, I have to apologize for the many months of MIA. Its been quite awhile since I last updated this blog of mine. 6 months have passed, many things have happened. There were good things, there were bad things. But mostly, bad things.

There are many reasons why I didn't update my blog. Not that I do not have the time nor the determination to carry on this blog of mine, but I shall not share in it this post. Subsequently, I might put them up, it depends..

Ok, enough of these, time to do some updates. Done many things, went many places, took many pictures, but again, blogging at work, therefore, no pictures this time. I shall just update some significant events that have happened..

My house underwent renovation. I overspent on new furniture for the house. I participated in the Nike Human Run. I had a car accident. I went on course. I rushed assignment for school. I upset someone important to me. I.....

There are just too many until I cannot remember all. Enough updates for now. I will try to update more frequently.

Freak Accident

Okay, this post came slightly late. The story goes like this.

I was enjoying a clubbing session with my girlfriend and our online friends at Double O on the 1st May. After the session at about 3am, I headed home. Yes, I drove. But I did not drink. I used to drink drive, but times have changed and I have grown, so, whenever I drive, I do not drink. Not even a sip. Hard to believe? But it is true =)

Anyway, while I was driving along the CTE back home, IT happened. I was travelling on the 2nd lane of the expressway at about 70km/h. All of a sudden, I felt a force came at me from the rear right of the vehicle. That caused me to lose control of my vehicle and spun on the expressway. My car did a 180 degree spin and slammed against the central divider of the expressway, on the first lane, facing the oncoming traffic.

Strangely, I did not panicked or lose it. I do not know why. This is the first time such an accident happened to me, but I managed to remain calm. I turned on the headlights and hazard lights, then I stepped out of the car. I made my way across the expressway to the other side of the road as the other vehicle had ended up slamming against the road shoulder side. I had wanted to get the particulars of the driver who caused the accident, but he ignored me. He went on to check the well-being of his passengers, after which, he fled the scene. As expected, he was drink driving.

Not being able to obtain anything, I went back to my car and got my girlfriend out. Thinking back, that is probably the stupidest thing I have done. I should had gotten my girlfriend to safety at the road shoulder FIRST, instead of leaving her in the car all the while.

The accident site was a blind spot. It was a up-slope. This resulted in oncoming vehicles not being able to see my vehicle being crashed into the central divider until they came up the slope, which, by the time was too late. A few cars managed to swerve away in time. I was looking for the breakdown sign in my car boot when suddenly, the 2nd car hit us.

Call it luck or whatever, the 2nd car did managed to swerve in time to avoid a head-on collision with mine. That resulted in the front right of my car being wasted. Looking back, I am sure this has to be the luckiest day of my life! What if the car hit my car head-on? I was just behind the car!

Soon, EMAS and the TP came and blocked off the affected lanes. After which, my girlfriend and I made it safely to the road shoulder. There, the routine things happened, recording of statements and everything else. Luckily for me, there was a kind soul that stopped by the side of the road slightly ahead, and volunteered to be my witness.

The worst of all, I did not have the driver's particulars, and his passengers was not willing to provide any. Damn. That resulted in me having to claim my own insurance. Luckily, the bastard self-reported to the police a few days later, and that I received the TP letter. So I had to make amendments to my claims. Oh boy am I going to claim him BIG time... Enough said, let us take a look at the pictures. =)

The front damages.

And the rear.

The Good Old Days..

As the title suggests, its back to the good old days. I had a gathering with my primary school friends some time back. We went to this buffet restaurant, Yaki Yuki, in Marina Square. The turn out was not that great, but nevertheless, I managed to get 3 'new' members to attend the gathering.

The two ladies and the guy in the bottom right corner. It was a pity that they had to leave early due to other commitments. Still, it was an enjoyable time spent with my primary school classmates. After so many years, being able to still come together is indeed not an easy thing.

This was not the first, nor will it be the last. There are many more to come, provided I have the time to organise, haha. Alright, here are some more photos of the previous gatherings. I will try to organise another one soon.
